Missing Reincarnation

By Benjamin Grossman and Christopher Rupley

A sunless mind
and half-mooned heart
are mine,
I know,
right from the start

It takes time,
to cleanse,
to bleach
the darkest
parts of our bodies’ nights

And the ghosts
in our souls
that callously
take flight
harassing
the invisible goodness
that helps raise
the dying light.
