Through The Dust Of Destiny (Part II)

Our first words
were not a sentence
containing eight letters
as written in love’s history.

Our first words
were not sprinkled with
pixie dust or
coated in sugar.

Our first words
had the weight of
a puppy, the sound of
a thousand sparks
covered with kisses.

Our first words
had the smell of
wildflowers melting
with desire.

Our first words
were the pulsating hearts
and heat through our veins
scribing the dance
that was to follow.

Beautiful 🙂 keep up the amazing work 🙂

  2. “the weight of a puppy” … that alone makes this poem amazing!
