Through The Dust Of Destiny (Part VI)

In awe that such a wondrous fate exists
we submit to our re-birthed world
feelings and thoughts conjoined
a heaven which is now whole

We will
never tread the same path again
for our love has blossomed
into a field
larger than the sky

We have
leashed time and buried death
awakened the depth of the darkest sea
the tides find solace in us

Our souls have shared roots
love is our life source
our hunger has ceased
for we are eternally one.

  1. “a field larger than the sky” … I love that. Great image.

  2. jadedmess says:

Thank you Ben for this wonderful experience. I look forward to many more 🙂

  3. Miranda Stone says:

That first stanza is really powerful and sets the tone for the entire poem. I like how this poem has moved more toward the spiritual than the physical, as that’s how many relationships progress over time.

  4. You two write so well together. That last stanza is gold.

  5. Phen Weston says:

Wow. I’ve been blown away by these collaborations! The opening 2 lines are just so strong and perfect, and what an ending! Loved each and every one 🙂
