in love with your own
image reflected in a
pool of water because

You can’t even
get outside of the house
and stop looking at yourself
in the bathroom mirror

    This made me laugh!!!

  2. Ouch. Now THESE are some cutting words! I like how you take something so well known and take it just a little further to make it fresh, great, and humorous all at once.

I don’t think I can say it better than Laura did. Scathing words, but if the shoe fits… This is a perfect example of your sardonic wit, and one of the reasons I love reading your poems.

Thank you. I think the unfortunate part is that the shoe fits. But it’s okay. Not everyone can wear the same footwear.

Absolutely right. Your poem and comment here just made me think of a bet I made with my friend’s dad when I was 14. He bet me $100 that I’d be wearing makeup by the time I was 30, because I refused to wear it as a teenager. I need to collect on that bet… πŸ˜‰

        Haha, that’s funny πŸ™‚ I would collect, too πŸ˜‰
