I wish our relationship had blossomed
In the winter so that it wouldn’t’ve
Melted and fallen from
The tree of love.

But even if it blossomed in winter, it might have fallen in spring. Perhaps blossom is the wrong word. =)

A beautiful idea. If love blossoms in the winter, does spring comes early? 🙂 being stronger and more magnificent.

Quite a poignant message in these words. I’m seeing a recurring theme in a lot of your poetry as of late, that of a failed relationship. Never an easy experience to endure, but you do describe it beautifully.

Thank you. I think we often see failure as a bad thing, but I think there is also a strength to failing. It makes us stronger for the next relationship, makes us thankful for the good we had in previous relationships and the good that may come to us in future relationships.

it does ‘sound’ wonderful in French, too: 🙂

    amour saisonnier…

J’aurais souhaité que notre relation fleurisse
    en hiver, de sorte
qu’elle ne soit pas fondue et tombée
    de l’arbre de l’amour.
