Thinking About You

Once I loved you like
My best enemy

Soon I’ll love you like
Somebody I never knew

Already I love you
Less than strangers

You have the kind of smile
That makes blush blush
Your lips are as soft as
The petals of my heart (She loves me? She loves me not?)
Your eyes are like
A sunrise of dreams
And your curves are
The steps to  lust love forever  more

By Benjamin Grossman and Christopher Rupley

Seasons thoroughly
swindle time from my
hourglass existence,
fusing grains
into glass,
adding more to
what isn’t
than to what is,
forcing a wry
smile from my face
as I daydream of
their mortality

Every now and again
I think to shatter the
timekeeper,
but to what end?
Can the bones of time ever
truly be broken?

Can the timeless be
taught my pain?
Can the future forgive
the past?
